Chapter 1. Introduction

Skylendar is a portable and modern design astrology program for Linux and Windows, with drag'n'drop, multi-windowing, animation, printing and SQL database access capabilities.

Skylendar has been built upon the Swiss Ephemeris library (sweph 2), which uses precomputed ephemeris files. This version already provides a set of those ones for the contemporaneous epoch, but additional files can be downloaded via the Skydmin utility.

By now, Skylendar provides the following charts:

Although portable, it needs the PostgreSQL 9.3 RDBMS and onward.
